ONE OF THE ELECTION OF GRACE

WHERE IS HELL?

For some reason Christians have always taught that Hell is under our feet and is filled with former rock stars and people such as that. While Hell may have a lot of former rock stars, it’s not in some secret cavern inside the Earth. Jesus tells us where Hell is in his parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16.

While Lazarus was poor and sat on the floor waiting for scraps from the rich man’s table like a dog, he was faithful. He loved godly things more than things of men. For this he was in Abraham’s bosom, which is in God’s bosom also. While the rich man had great earthly treasures, he cared more for them than things of God and was unfaithful. When he died he was on the other side of a gulf able to see Abraham and Lazarus. The rich man begged Abraham to let Lazarus come and put his finger to his tongue to cool it. It does say “down in hell”, but is that from our perspective, or heaven’s? That word “gulf” in Luke 16:26 is the Greek word “χασμα” (KAS-mah), meaning crevice or gulf. That sounds a lot different than what we have been taught, doesn’t it?

After death, we all go up there to God. Everyone. At least from the point Jesus defeated Death it’s been this way. That’s why on the very rare occasion that when someone dies and they are brought back to life they all see the same thing. They see themselves, or at least many of them do but the universal thing is the tunnel of white light. If you can imagine yourself travelling through space many times faster than the speed of light with stars, constellations, and other heavenly bodies whizzing by wouldn’t that produce that tunnel of white light? Yes it would. More proof of the afterlife.

Let’s not forget what is written of the rider of the pale horse, who’s name is Death. That is one of the names of Satan. What happens when he comes? Hell follows him. How does Hell follow him? The bottomless pit is opened. Then will Hell be upon Earth and then below us. Not until then.

As I said in the blog “There Is A Difference Between Heaven And Everlasting Life”, no one is permanently judged upon after this life, except those who have made the right choice. The books aren’t opened until after the next age is over. Proof of the next age is in the Greek with some research. There will be people punished after this life for a host of crimes against God and man, but they also go to God. Who are you going to believe? Jesus or man? I’ll take Jesus without batting an eye. There is no Hell below us.

  2. Oh yeah I just read that those people will see us with God loving him and loving others but we will not see them. They will be seperated..that is hell. Seperated from love. YUK I don’t wish that on anyone but they actaully choose it by their lives. They will just continue for eternity living in that wy they choose not to change. Hell. Burning desires for things and those things will never bring satisfaction. So much like Earth. Gritting of teeth out of anger and hatred and maybe out of realizing what you could of had. The worm that never dies…always wanting…always wanting… wanting.. wanting ..wanting. The leech has two daughters that cry more more.
